At least 42 members of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) surrendered to Turkish security forces in the Nusaybin district of the southeastern province of Mardin in a display of PKK disengagement.
As Turkish newspaper Sabah reports, among the 42 PKK members were ten women, while many of them were injured.
During the operation, one soldier and one police officer died and nine men of the security forces were injured and hospitalized with one of them being in critical condition.
