Director Yorgos Lanthimos award-winning film “Lobster” officially premieres in Athens on October 22.
The director’s first English-language stars Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz. It won the Jury Prize at the 68th Cannes Film Festival.
Set in the future where single people are taken to The Hotel to find a matching mate in 45 days, the film explores the life of one man who falls in love with a woman despite the rules that require the candidates to be transformed into animals and be sent into the Woods if they fail to find their match.
It is a Greek-Irish-British-Dutch-French production and it is written by Yorgos Lanthimos and his regular co-writer Efthimis Filippou.
