“The government has a clear mandate for a four-year term to make the great changes and reforms that Greece needs”, Prime Minister and leader of SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras stressed in his address to the Parliamentary Group of his party.

“The Greek people justified our fight and the difficult choices we made,” he said stressing that the new government gets rid of the old and no one can stop the changes to come, “given that Greek people want to”.

“For the debt issue, we will engage allies not only in Europe but throughout the world,” Mr. Tsipras said.

He also accused the opposition of playing games and challenged New Democracy to “stop playing these games and admit the truth and its responsibilities regarding the debt”.
