Dionysiou Areopagitou Street is a pedestrianized walkway at the foot of the Acropolis. Named after Dionysios the Areopagite, the first Athenian convert to Christianity, the street starts of at the Arch of hadrian and ends at Philopappos hill, making it one of the most picturesque walkways. Among the famous people who own homes there are composer Vangelis Papathanasio, painter Konstantinos Parthenis, economist Xenophon Zolotas and the fallen PASOK heavyweight Akis Tsohatzopoulos.
