The Moni style is a new fashion that originated at the Moni club of Mykonos that is named after a church in the square where it is located. The Moni style combines the monastic fashion with Gucci sunglasses with Hermes so that you have a stylish fake priest style.

The island even has a fashion color dedicated to it, known as Mykonos blue!

The most expensive cocktail on Mykonos is the Her Royal Highness cocktail at the bar, Queen, that costs a whopping 9,000 euros. It is made of 1961 Dom Perignon, Moet and Chandon from collector’s bottles that circulated during the wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles (the ones with the 24-carrot gold-plated design) and 50-year-old cognac with a cherry on top!

Carol Wells of Mykonos was a sexy young girl who came to the island in 1962. Since then, she’s become Karolina of Mykonos, her paitnings have graced the homes of the international jetset for years now!

Few tourists know that the party atmosphere is just window dressing for those who work there. Thousands of young workers live in shocking conditions in temporary, illegal shanty villages created by the island’s businessmen.

The Mykonos Incident did not take place on the island of Mykonos – The Mykonos restaurant assassinations took place at the Mykonos Greek restaurant in Berlin, Germany, on September 17, 1992. Iranian-Kurdish leaders Sadegh Sharafkandi, Fattah Abdoli, Homayoun Ardalan and their translator Nouri Dehkordi were assassinated in what became known as the Mykonos Incident.

The island is named after its first ruler, Mykons, son or grandson of the god Apollo… Others, however, says that its name jsut means “mound of stones”.
