An interministerial meeting on Friday reaffirmed the government’s decision to fully redistribute the “social dividend” – a part of Greece’s primary surplus returned to the more vulnerable groups in society as a one-off benefit – to the Greek society.
Alternate Finance Minister Christos Staikouras had a meeting with Deputy Labour Minister Vassilis Kegeroglou, the newly appointed secretary general for Public Revenues Ekaterini Savaidou as well as PASOK officials Filippos Sachinidis, George Koutroumanis and Christos Protopappas on the “social dividend” and considered its redistribution process after the expansion of the criteria for its handing out.
Based on the data available so far, the amount to be allocated will be fully distributed to the Greek society, according to a statement.
