The South Aegean Region presented a new campaign entitled “Aegean Islands. Like No Other” for a three-years strategy designed in collaboration with the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) aiming to boost its position in the international tourism market
The goal of the new campaign is to identify and promote the region’s tourist product using a specially designed and integrated set of actions, including research and analysis, tourism product marketing strategy, design of competitive identity and communication plan.
Local authorities and bodies will be provided with an interactive tool, a powerful e-platform, through which they will be able to interact, shape and contribute to the further development of the campaign.
The new strategy will also act as a communication umbrella for all of the region’s islands, while each island will be able to design its own action plan based on each island’s unique features.
The South Aegean Region is considered to be one of the most dynamic forces of Greek tourism receiving about 25% of Greece’s international arrivals and 30% of tourism revenue.
