While Brussels warn Greece of having three months to meet its obligations and comply with EU recommendations on safeguarding effectively its external borders and improving refugee and immigrants identification process, international media create a negative atmosphere for Greece publishing articles on Greece’s possible exit from Schengen area.

A few days ago Financial Times wrote that “Greece should write off its debt and in return host the refugees and immigrants “, while the newspaper also conducts a poll asking its readers to answer on whether “Greece should have its debt written off in return for housing Europe’s refugees”.

So far, 55% of the respondents said yes and 45% said no.

In its previous article, FT suggested to ” think creatively about how these two problems [ie, Greek debt and refugee issue] could be linked into a diplomatic package that helps to fix them both”.

Its proposal was Greece to seal its northern border with EU and in return, Germany to agree to write off the Greek debt, as well as to provide immediate financial aid to cope with the current crisis.

Moreover, FT journalist Gideon Rachman said refugees arriving in Greece would be hosted in EU-run camps on Greek islands until they return to their home once peace was restored.
