Independent Greeks leader Panos Kammenos on Thursday morning had a phone conversation with SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras on the Public Power Corp (PPC) issue.

Kammenos agreed with Tsipras on the need for the country to hold a referendum on PPC privatization. “We agree with the demand of the majority of the Greek people to endorse a referendum for PPC’s sell-off,” he said.

He also told Tsipras that the “small PPC is the first step for the concession of energy resources, which must end now.”
