Ingenious Brazilian surgeons have saved a man’s hand from being amputated by placing it inside a pocket of his belly! Doctors decided to put Carlos Mariotti’s left hand in his abdomen and cover it with protective skin flap, after the machine operator suffered a terrible work accident that ripped off the skin of his hand. The patient will have to keep his hand in his belly for the next six week until his hand heals. The doctors explained that this method was the only way of saving his hand, as there was a high possibility of skin infection and subsequently amputating his hand.
