“It’s an oxymoron when a liar says that we must speak the language of truth,” said the president of main opposition New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis speaking at the plenary session.

“You have never spoken the language of truth, Mr .Tsipras,” said Mr. Mitsotakis. “Nobody believes you now, neither in Greece nor abroad,” he said.

Paraphrasing the words of American author Mark Twain “there are lies, damned lies and statistics”, the leader of New Democracy said addressing the Prime Minister: “if he had known you, he would have said ‘there are lies, damned lies and Tsipras’.”

He also said that Mr. Tsipras would soon be the youngest former prime minister accusing him also of being an opportunist who does everything he can to maintain his power.

Mr. Mitsotakis stated that the upcoming pension cuts are a result of the policy of SYRIZA – ANEL government.

The leader of New Democracy predicted that there would be soon election adding that this is the only democratic alternative so as to put an end to the most incompetent government.
