Mystery continues surrounding the EgyptAir flight which crashed into the Mediterranean Sea, while investigators said that a preliminary report will take another month.

The head of the Egyptian investigation team, Ayman al-Moqadem, reportedly said it would take four weeks for information to be compiled and published.

On Saturday, the Egyptian army published the first photos of wreckage from the EgyptAir flight showing mangled parts of the fuselage, life jackets and passengers’ belongings.
One aviation source said that a fire on board would likely have sent many warning signals, while a sudden explosion may not have generated any. However, officials stressed that no scenario, including explosion, is being ruled out.

The cause still remains unknown but experts fear the evidence points towards a terror attack.

Authorities are still searching the area to find the black box which would reveal what happened to the EgyptAir plane.

However, a statement released by Islamic State on May 21 made no reference to the EgyptAir flight. Instead, they urged attacks on the United States and Europe in the Islamic holy month of Ramadan beginning in early June.

“Ramadan, the month ofconquest. Get prepared…so that you make it a month of calamity on the non-believers anywhere,” said the message posted on their Twitter accounts.
