The Greek Foreign Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the innocent victims of the terrorist attack in Nice that killed at least 80 people. The statement released unequivocally condemned the attack and expressed the Ministry’s horror over the attack. ‘On the day of celebrations for the anniversary of the French revolution, the cradle of the ideas of freedom, equality and fraternity was once more targeted by darkness and barbarity’, the statement read. It goes on to underline that the actions of terrorism are condemned to fail. ‘We express our certainty that in spite of extremists, France, the beacon of the ideas of Enlightenment, democracy and freedom will continue uninterruptedly to illuminate Europe and the world’, says the statement.
