Speaking from the village of Komeno in western Greece, Greek PM Alexis Tsipras said the government would continue to pursue WW2 reparations from Germany, as well ad the occupying loan. Tsipras, who is visiting the village in commemoration of the 317 victims by Nazi occupying forces in 1943, said Greece was following a coherent and serious strategy in its claims for reparations against the German state for the atrocities of WW2 and the occupying force’s compulsory loan taken from Greece, which has not yet been paid back to the Greek state. ‘We will continue our struggle for German reparations to the end and on all levels. Not with sloppiness and haste, but with a plan, strategy and strong legal documentation’, he said.
