A Malaysian Airlines 777 Boeing crashed in the Ukraine during a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala-Lumpur. According to preliminary information, the plane had 280 passengers and 15 staff. It crashed near the Donetsk area, where there have been clashes between Pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainian forces. Some Russian-speaking separatists stated earlier that they shot down a plane they claimed they thought was overlooking their area.
