Vangelis Marinakis saves the Museum “Nikos Kazantzakis” from closing

Referring to the economic crises Mr.Vangelis Marinakis stated that "as Cretans know how to overcome situations as such".

Mr. Vangelis Marinakis arrived shortly after 7pm to the area of myrtle at the museum of”Nikos Kazantzakis” in order to sign the relevant agreement which will allow the museum to remain open and continue its course.

In his statement, Mr. Vangelis Marinakis stressed how important it is to have a museum for the great writer Nikos Kazantzakis, who as he said has kept him company in his school years while he also stressed that all Cretans should have helped the museum and the museum will not close. ”

On the matter of crisis, the powerful man said that Cretans know how to overcome situations as such.
At the same time of the official signatures, the museum “Kazantzakis’ will be able to operate much more comfortably while a hall will be named after the father of the President of the Olympiacos team Mr. Miltiadis Marinakis who began his professional career in Heraklion, Crete.
The museum suffered from many debts and the indifference of the state and people in recent years and has been trying to find the necessary resources for its operation.
Mr. Vangelis Marinakis responded immediately to the request. He saw with great fervor the issue of Kazantzakis museum and promised to help. And not only kept his promise, but he did step above: pledged to take over the debts of the museum, but also operating costs for years to come.
