According to final data on budget execution, the state budget recorded a primary budget surplus of 707 million euros and a deficit of 2.419 billion euros in the first six months of 2014, from a deficit of 4.991 billion euros last year, down from a revised budget target for a deficit of 3.856 billion euros.

Net state budget revenues totaled 23.615 billion euros in the first half, up 1% from a revised budget target, while regular budget net revenues totaled 20.646 billion euros, up 0.3% from the revised target.

Tax revenues totaled 19.021 billion euros, up 0.5% from the revised target.
