This morning THE Labour Minister Mr. Yiannis Vroutsis submitted
a last-minute change to the multi-bill.
Specifically, the MP filed a technical and legal arrangement in which the funds of Police Officers and Port Officers can be converted until the 31.12.2014 in private legal entity and not join the Unified Supplementary Insurance Fund (EBRD).
This addition enables police officers and firefighters to switch, except the single fund the auxiliary fund (TEAPASA) to fund employment insurance and to avoid compulsory membership of the Unified Supplementary Insurance Fund (EBRD).
In this way the constant demand of the uniformed which had announced new movements will be satisfied with staying out of the EBRD Fund, which according to the union, is sturdy and has 40 years of life and a reserve of 250 million.
