Operation to extinguish flames is underway

A large fire that broke out a little after 2 pm at the Syngros Grove close to the KAT Hospital in Athens near the estate has been contained. Eleven firefighting vehicles and 25 firefighters rushed to the scene, while a Canadair fire plane and two smaller PZL aircraft took part on the join the efforts to contain the spread of the blaze which was close to a populated area.
