The prosecuting authorities in Neuchâtel announced that a 16 month old baby died at la So-de-Fond of northwestern Switzerland after one of his parents forgot it for several hours in the car in a parking lot.

The investigation discovered that the parent “went to work forgetting to leave the baby” in the nursery as usual, explained the prosecutor Mark Remy and added that the parent “After finished work and while preparing to go to pick up the child from the station, realized what had happened” .

The prosecutor’s office launched an investigation for the case, but will not make any further statements on this matter.
