Government spokesperson: I have never appointed any relative of mine

According to a newspaper, the government spokesperson has appointed her husband, her daughter and her bridesmaid to the Ministry for the Press and Media

The newspaper “Kontra News” published an article according to which the government spokesperson Sophia Voultepsi appointed her relatives to the Ministry for the Press and Media, causing the intense reaction of Ms Voultepsi.

Speaking at “Parapolitika 90.1” she refused of having appointed any member of her family to the ministry.

According to the newspaper, Ms. Voultepsi appointed her retired husband to the Ministry for the Press and Media as director of her office, while she also appointed her daughter, who is an employee at official Athens News Agency and was transferred to the political office of her mother and from there she was transferred at Maximou Mansion, as her secretary. Furthermore, according to the article, she transferred also her bridesmaid to the ministry intending to make her director of her office.

The government spokesperson said that these are false accusations aiming to attack the government.

By speaking to the radio show, the director of the newspaper Emilios Liatsos insisted that the information of the article is valid, and called Ms. Voultepsi to reply on why her daughter was transferred from the Athens Press Agency to the ministry.
