POTAMI suggests reductions

Theodorakis meets Vroutsi

Newsroom September 8 07:37

The head of the independent political party POTAMI Mr. Stavros Theodorakis in his today meeting with the Minister of Labour Mr. Gianni Vroutsi, expressed his deep concern for the size of delinquency at the insurance funds.
Mr. Theodorakis main interest was about uncovering the fake pensions and the real size of undeclared work. He asked for a list stating all the suspected businesses for tax evasion, as well as overdue funds.

Members of the POTAMI handed to the Minister the party’s proposal for reduction of the insurance contribution to consistent businesses as well as the reduction contribution for the freelancers, noting that the amount should be based to their income.
From his side the Prime Minister shared the same views, while he highlighted that the Ministry has recently suggested the “white business register” for which a further reduction of over 5% may be available.
