Tsipras: SYRIZA poses no threat to Europe whatsoever

A new Parliamentary majority is required in order to commence re-negotiations with our fellow members states

Newsroom September 8 08:28

At his interview to CNBC, the president of the left party SYRIZA, stressed the need for change in the economic policy, while send a message to the Europeans that: “We are not a threat for Europe whatsoever, but we are a challenge for policy change”
At the same time he asked for a new summit, similar to the one of 1953 for Germany’s debt, in order for a big part of the Greek debt to be erased.

Mr. Tsipras had a negative response when he was asked if the program announced by the Greek Minister works. “Is a disaster. We have already lost 25% of GDP and unemployment has reached to 29%, which is unacceptable for a European country”.
Further, according to him, the program has triggered deflate and is today’s biggest threat, which is something that the Europeans can feel.
“TROIKA’s program also wants 4.5% primary surplus so the interest on the loans gets paid off. In that kind of environment there is no room for stable development”.

When asked of his opinion about early elections, Mr. Tsipras replied that “what is needed is a policy change. A new parliamentary majority must exist which will re-negotiate conditions with our partners”
Finally, he predicted early elections on the occasion of inability for electing a new president of Democracy.
