Coronavirus Greece – 28,933 new cases, 49 deaths, 351 intubated

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,439 patients have been discharged from the ICU

Greek authorities announced Tuesday that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 28,933, of which 32 were identified after checks at the country’s entry points. The total number of cases amounts to 2,986,882 (daily change + 1.0%), of which 49.2% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 166 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,226 are related to an already known case.

The new deaths of patients with Covid-19 are 49, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 27,392 deaths have been recorded. 95.3% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 351 (65.5% men). Their median age is 70 years. 91.2% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 205 (58.4%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 146 (41.6%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,439 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
