Illegal migrants land on Rhodes beach among tourists (Video)

The incident occurred at the "Tsambika" beach

Newsroom July 3 05:55

Tourists at a beach in Rhodes were left stunned when they suddenly saw a group of illegal migrants landing on the seashore and walking on the sand.

The incident occurred at the “Tsambika” beach as the illegal migrants apparently arrived in Greece, through illegal smugglers from the Turkish coast.

The video that is making the internet rounds shows the ship of the smugglers that took them to the island at a distance from the beach, while according to the Coast Guard, a dangerous chase had preceded it, which resulted in the arrest of five foreigners, as well as their four foreign traffickers, aged 21, 22, 37 and 24. In fact, during the incident the men of the Coast Guard had fired warning shots, asking the traffickers to stop the sailboat in which they were transporting the illegal migrants.

In the meantime, about 15 migrants had arrived at the exact same beach again about a month ago, at the time when people were sunbathing on the sand.
