The government and the troika seem to be reaching an agreement to increase the number of installments for the repayment of debts to social security funds and the Tax Office to 100, according to Development Ministry sources that participate in the negotiations with the troika.

According to the same sources, the Troika has not accepted the government’s original proposal for 120 installments, while it is awaiting the General Accounting Office’s report about the impact of the measure on the country’s fiscal figures, since the overall arrangement will provide up to 90% haircut on the surcharges and the fines.

The government has already accepted the requirement of Troika to supervise the proper implementation of the new measure.
