In a feature article on holidays to Cyclades published in the British newspaper “The Independent” the readership is informed that airlines have already launched extra flights to those wonderful Greek islands in order to facilitate British tourists who wish to travel to Cyclades.

In particular, British Airways provide new services from Heathrow to Mykonos and Santorini as of 3 and 4 May joining easyJet’s existing route from Gatwick to Santorini.

The Independent mentions that Cyclades are consisted of 220 islands and are located at Aegean Sea with a particular reference to some of these islands that attract more British tourists.

Mykonos is the ideal destination for those who want to enjoy swimming and parties on the beach of Super Paradise, while Ios island has nice bars on hills just outside of the town.

Santorini with its  incredibly romantic setting, its intimate atmosphere and its sugar-cube houses, as the newspaper describes them, is considered a top destination.

Andros, the second largest island of the Cyclades, is green and fertile. Tourists can easily reach the island from Athens within two hours and from Heathrow airport with regular flights. According to the article, Andros is an island suitable for family vacations.

The picturesque Folegandros retains an unspoilt charm making it the ideal destination for families. The cute donkeys waiting on the island to take you for a unique tour to the beautiful island fascinate children and adults!

Also, the article warns the travelers that airtickets are cheaper in May, June and September and urges them to prefer travelling during this period, not only because of the lowest prices, but also because Greek islands are less crowded during these months!
