The death toll from the powerful earthquakes in Turkey and Syria so far stands at 24,218. The Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) announced that the death toll in Turkey reached 20,665. At the same time, 3,553 people who lost their lives have been identified in Syria.
According to AFAD, almost 93,000 people have been evacuated from the affected areas in southern Turkey, while more than 166,000 people are involved in rescue and relief operations.
Since Monday, 1,891 aftershocks have been recorded.
