The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has canceled today’s campaign events on the advice of doctors after feeling unwell last night.
“I would like to thank each and every member of my beloved nation, each and every one of my brothers and sisters for their wishes and prayers for my health because of the little discomfort I had during the show due to my busy schedule. Unfortunately, I will not be able to meet today with my compatriots from Kırıkkaleli, Yozgat and Sivas. I ask everyone to forgive me. Fuat Oktay will attend the Kırıkkale, Yozgat and Sivas shows on my behalf. God willing, we will continue our program from tomorrow. We will continue to work to bring our beloved nation to the goals of Turkey’s century. On this occasion, I wish health, peace and prosperity to all my citizens,” the 69-year-old Turkish president said on his Twitter account less than 20 days before the May 14 election.
It is recalled that the incident with the Turkish president took place during an interview that was broadcast live by the television network KANAL 7 and Ülke TV caused intense concern in Turkey.
According to cumhuriyet, just a short time after the interview of the Turkish president had started, the journalist suddenly stopped what he was saying and asked for a commercial break. The broadcast then cuts off abruptly, without the camera showing Erdogan.
A few moments before the program was interrupted, the phrase “Oh my God” was heard from someone behind the cameras.

Returning after the commercials, Erdogan apologized to the audience, explaining that the last few days had been very tiring due to the election campaign and, moreover, he was suffering from a cold, but he did not want to cancel the interview after he had given his promise.
