Farmers enter Sparta with tractors – They dump hay and spill milk

Farmers and beekeepers in the regional unit present their demands

Newsroom February 12 04:43

A significant mobilization of farmers from Laconia occurred on Monday morning (12/2) in Sparta.

Following a meeting held by Laconia’s farmers on Sunday at the Labor Center of Laconia, it was decided to mobilize with tractors and agricultural vehicles in Sparta, with the first stop being the headquarters of the Laconia regional unit.

The convoy departed from the new entrance junction of Sparta at noon, heading towards the city, as reported by spartanews.gr.

The regional unit received the demands of farmers, ranchers, and beekeepers. As a symbolic protest gesture, they dumped hay and spilled milk at the entrance of the district.
