With red eyes and swollen hands, King Charles appeared in his first message to mark Commonwealth Day after being diagnosed with cancer and starting the treatments he has been undergoing for the past five weeks.
Indeed, while it had been known what he would say since the morning, the video was released by the royal family on Monday afternoon (11/3).

Together and individually, we are strengthened by sharing perspectives and experiences and by offering and borrowing the myriad ways in which we have each faced the challenges of our time,” he can be heard saying, as the caption on the royal family’s Instagram post reads.
King Charles expressed his commitment to continue to serve Britain as best his powers allow.
This message is included in his Commonwealth Day address.
His 615-word speech had already been filmed and as the Sun had earlier reported, King Charles said that “Having recently celebrated my 75th birthday, it warms my heart to think of how the Commonwealth has been a constant throughout my life – a precious source of strength, inspiration and pride.”
