Newsroom April 19 11:52

Police officers investigating illegal possession of firearms at the home of a Greek man in Chios were surprised to find themselves in front of a… a zoo in which he was holding in captivity in cages, not one and two, but a total of 18 wild birds!

During the investigation, which was carried out after proper evaluation of evidence, a revolver was found in the perpetrator’s house, which he possessed without the conditions provided for by law, was seized and sent to the forensic laboratories for ballistic examination.

However, the Forestry Department was subsequently called in to examine the birds in the cages and it was determined that they were species that should be free in the wild.
