Unstable weather is expected at Easter, with the data available so far indicating rain in the west, central and north while as we approach those days it will be increasingly clear what will apply. Forecasts so far are calling for punchy weather in the Aegean after Holy Wednesday, but it is not yet clear what the weather will be like for Easter in the Cyclades, with early forecasts for the night of the Resurrection calling for moderate to strong southerly winds on Easter Sunday morning.

In particular, according to meteorologist Klearchos Marousakis, until Maundy Thursday the main feature of the weather will be the winds. If there are some rains will be concerning eastern and northern Greece. Mild weather conditions with temperatures at 24 to 27 degrees Celsius.

As he points out, on Maundy Thursday and then some disturbances from central Europe will move further east. “Specifically, on Maundy Thursday until Easter Monday, it is very likely to encounter unsettled weather conditions mainly in the west, central and north especially in the afternoon and evening hours that we may have thunderstorms and showers.”

The areas that will be affected are: Ionian Sea, western mainland Greece, western and central Sterea, Thessaly, Macedonia, Thrace.
