ELSTAT reports a decrease of 2,795 deaths (7.8%) compared to the average of total deaths in the first 13 weeks for the years 2018-2023 (35,617 deaths).

By region of residence, deaths decreased in all regions, with the most notable reductions observed in Attica, Central Macedonia, and Western Greece.
