PAOK celebrated winning the 2023/24 Greek Super League 1 championship tonight (May 19), as it defeated Aris 2-1 at “Kleanthis Vikelidis” and thus finished first, achieving an incredible four consecutive victories against AEK, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, and Aris at the end of the playoffs!
The “Double-Headed Eagle” deservedly claimed the title in their 58th match of the season, which started with numerous problems, significant skepticism, and with their rivals having more complete and expensive rosters.
However, Lucescu’s team reached the quarterfinals of the Conference League, were dramatically eliminated in the Cup semifinals on penalties, and on Sunday, in the final matchday of the playoffs, secured the championship.
This is PAOK’s 4th championship title in its history.
