A controversial work of “Art” was placed in Place Vendome in Paris, near the Paris Opera, which, according to some is an effigy of a Christmas tree, but according to others it looks like a… “giant sex toy”.

The sculpture was created by American Paul McCarthy, and it angered Parisians who considered this “monstrosity” as an insult to their city.

“A huge green dildo was just placed in Place Vendome”, said one Parisian on Twitter, causing an uproar across France.

After a few hours this item was removed as unknown perpetrators stopped the air intake of the 24 meter tall “work of art”.

Earlier, an unknown Parisian had slapped Paul McCarthy during the setup of this project and fled from the square.
