Outstanding tax debt surpassed 70 bln euros in Sept‏ember

The new outstanding debt from January to September 2014 totaled 9.683 billion euros

The value of outstanding tax debt to the state surpassed 70 billion euros in September, according to official data published.

The Public Revenue General Secretariat said that new outstanding debt from January to September 2014 totaled 9.683 billion euros. The old outstanding debt (up to December 31, 2013) totaled 60.680 billion euros by the end of September.

Taxpayers are increasingly unable to pay their tax obligations, with new tax debt rising by almost 1.0 billion euros per month.
