The director of the National Meteorological Service, Thodoris Kolydas, speaks in a post about prolonged heat in our country in the second ten days of July.

As he points out, although no particularly extreme values are forecast, temperatures will remain at levels about 6 degrees above normal for the season.

In fact, from Friday the heat will be more noticeable as meltemi winds weakens in many eastern regions and is limited to the Eastern Aegean, the Eastern Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese, according to Mr. Kolydas.

From Friday onwards the heat will be more noticeable as the meltemi weakens in many eastern areas and is limited to the Eastern Aegean , Eastern Cyclades Crete and Dodecanese.”

Weather tomorrow Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service:

Generally clear weather and only in the midday and afternoon hours on the mainland will develop local clouds and in the mountains of the central and northern part of the country local rainfall may occur.
The winds will blow from the north 4 to 6 and locally in the Aegean Sea 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will not change significantly and will reach 38 to 40 degrees Celsius on the mainland. In the island country it will reach 31 to 33 degrees Celsius and in some places on the Ionian Islands, the eastern Aegean, the Dodecanese and southern Crete 34 to 37 degrees Celsius.
