Cyber Crime Unit search resulted to the arrest of three people and to the establishment of case file for another four people involved, in the areas of Athens, Piraeus, Thessaloniki, Xanthi, Lower Tithorea Fthiotidos, Laconia and Agrinio.
The investigation was initiated after a complaint was formed about a minor girl sending indecent photos of herself to Internet users who seduced her through social networking sites.
When prosecution authorities were informed of the situation they issued the necessary ordinances to remove the confidentiality of communication and as a result the police identified the tracks of the Internet users.
In conclusion, the police arrested three Greeks, aged 36,18 and 16 accordingly and established against them a case for child pornography via the Internet, while also established a case file against another four people involved in the case, three of Greek origin aged 47,20 and 19 as well as a 22 year old foreigner.
