Police officers of the Security Team of the Patrols Sub-Directorate of the Athens Police Directorate, yesterday located and arrested a 38-year-old foreigner who was trafficking, primarily, crystal methamphetamine in Victoria Square.

According to the ELAS, information gathering had been preceded by targeted patrols, surveillance and checks on users congregating at the square in question for the supply of crystal methamphetamine.

Once they identified the 38-year-old suspected trafficker and certified his activity in methamphetamine trafficking, the security team proceeded to physically search the 38-year-old, in whose possession two homemade packages containing crystal methamphetamine were found.

In total, and from the subsequent search of his residence, the following items were found and seized, among others:

– 95.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine,

– 47 drug pills,

– scales,

– air pistol and

– 635 euros.

The 38-year-old, with the case file formed by the Security Department of Agios Panteleimon for violation of the legislation on addictive substances and weapons, was taken to the prosecutor of the Athens
