Kasselakis: The depth of my pool is 1.20m, at the age of 36, I am not the cause of the country’s troubles

The President of SYRIZA presented a new perspective on the pool depth in Spetses, launching criticisms towards the government and former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in a recent radio interview

Newsroom August 9 04:45

The President of SYRIZA PS, Stefanos Kasselakis, provided an updated account regarding the specifications of the pool at his residence in Spetses during an interview with Hellenic Radio. He discussed the depth of the pool, highlighting the presence of a tank with a license since 1978.

In a moment of profound candor, Stefanos Kasselakis broached his previously unspoken “disagreements” with Alexis Tsipras within the realm of the SYRIZA-PS government, boldly asserting, “SYRIZA’s liberation from the memoranda was not solely orchestrated by me; let it be crystal clear that any discord I harbor with my predecessor pertains exclusively to the recent party management, not the governance of SYRIZA.”

Simultaneously, he extended a gesture of conciliation towards Pavlos Polakis. Against the backdrop of Polakis’s recent ejection from the Parliamentary Group, Kasselakis resolutely declared, “Allow me to evoke the transformative collaboration between SYRIZA and Pavlos Polakis, which bestowed healthcare and access upon 2.5 million uninsured compatriots. This monumental social endeavor stands as a testament to our unwavering pride,” reiterated the President of SYRIZA-PS, echoing the sentiment of a “social accomplishment,” a sentiment echoed by the party’s spokesperson, Voula Kehagia, in homage to Athina Linou’s societal contributions.

In a moment charged with disillusionment, Kasselakis articulated his dismay over the prospective alliance between SYRIZA-PS and PASOK, lamenting, “The disheartening stance of PASOK, endorsing the Attica Bank accord, struck a dissonant chord. I had fervently believed this juncture would serve as an inaugural opportunity to signal our resolute opposition to the entrenched establishment,” he posited, with a pointed query, “How can we envision a novel entity if we fail to deliberate on the prudent utilization of 900 million euros belonging to the Greek taxpayers?” In a strategic silence of eloquent brevity, Kasselakis abstained from commentary on the purported expulsion of Christos Spirtzis, asserting, “I shall refrain from engaging in discourse on this specific matter or any other; my purview does not encompass such affairs. I hold in esteem the collective processes of the party and defer to the appropriate authorities for further elucidation.”

In a scathing appraisal, sources within New Democracy (ND) reflected on Kasselakis’s discourse, remarking, “The disjointed and unsubstantiated rhetoric of Mr. Kasselakis, his relentless assault on the judicial system, and his calumnies against political adversaries have ceased to astonish. Today’s revelations, provided its depth does not exceed 120 centimeters. Omitted was the elucidation on the threshold at which a pool attains legality.
