Real Madrid became the team with the most European Super Cups in history after defeating Atalanta 2-0 in the final in Warsaw, securing their sixth trophy. The goals for the Champions League holders were scored by Valverde (59′) and Mbappé (68′).

The first half had few chances, but the score could have been opened on two occasions, one for each team. In the 26th minute, after a cross from De Roon, Militão attempted to clear with a header, sending the ball onto Courtois’ crossbar.

In stoppage time of the first half (45+1′), it was Real Madrid’s turn when Vinícius found Rodrygo in the area, but the latter’s shot also hit the crossbar.

In the 47th minute, Courtois made an incredible save on a header from Pašalić, with Atalanta missing a great opportunity to take the lead. However, from that point on, the final became “Real’s affair.” In the 59th minute, after a fantastic effort and assist from Vinícius, Valverde opened the scoring, and in the 68th minute, from a pass by the outstanding Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé scored the 2-0, marking his debut with a goal for Madrid.

Thus, Real Madrid claimed their 6th Super Cup, surpassing AC Milan and Barcelona, Carlo Ancelotti reached his 5th, overtaking Pep Guardiola, and Luka Modrić, at 39, became the Real player with the most trophies: 27!
