Sierra Leone accused Ottawa for discrimination, after the authorities’ decision to close the border of Canada to residents of the countries affected by the outbreak of the Ebola virus in West Africa and the people who traveled in these during the last three months.
According to the Deputy Minister of Information in Sierra Leone Theo Nicholl “The government considers this decision as discriminatory and is happening at a time that we try to reduce isolation rather than strengthen it”.
Canada is the second country to adopt such measures since Australia decided to apply the same in order to avoid the Ebola virus spreading to their soil.
