A violent incident with fan motives took place in the early morning in the area of Filothei where two groups of young people clashed violently, resulting in one person being injured.

It all happened shortly after 2 a.m. when about 10 people, who were in 2 cars, approached a third car, in which 5 people were, on the street of Olympionicos Diadochos Konstantinou and attacked them under the pretext of their fan preferences.

A wild scuffle ensued during which one of the people involved, in his attempt to escape, fell from a wall from a great height, injuring himself.

The 20-year-old was rescued by the Fire Brigade and was taken by ambulance to Evangelismos Hospital with minor injuries.

A short time later, police officers spotted a suspicious car with two people on Kifissias Avenue who were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the violent incident.
