National Defence Minister Nikos Dendias attended the Hellenic Air Force events celebrating aviation’s patron saint Archangel Michael at the Dekeleia Airforce base in Tatoi. “Today, more than ever before, national unity is imperative, above and beyond all partisan logic and goals,” said Mr. Dendias during his address. He said that Greece was a powerful force for stability and cooperation at a difficult time for the surrounding region thanks to the reliability and efficiency of its national defense system.

“The reliability of the Air Force and the Armed Forces in general, as well as their vigilance in dealing with any invitation or challenge, shows our strong resolve to work for peace and the law internationally,” he said.

The four-day events celebrating the Air Force’s patron send end on Sunday.
