Margherita Papandreou celebrates her 101st birthday, with former Prime Minister Giorgios Papandreou wishing her a happy birthday with a photo of himself, his brothers and their mother.

“A life of 101 years, rich in experiences, full of struggle and contribution for democracy and equality. Your path was not just a testimony of an era, but a beacon of light for those who followed in your footsteps,” writes Georgios Papandreou.

“Today, however, we not only honor your achievements, but this is the moment to tell you how much we love you, as a mother who stood by our side with immense strength in every difficulty and every success. Happy Birthday to our Margarita, whose love made our lives blossom.”
