An online poll by Greek-Australian newspaper Neos Kosmos saw that 62% of Greek-Australian respondents voted “yes” to diaspora Greeks being given voting rights even though they haven’t lived in the country for years while 38% disagreed. Those who wanted the option to vote saw it as a way to stay engaged in Greek life and protecting their vested interests as far as property investments are concerned.

Currently Greeks with dual citizenship living in Australia can vote if they visit Greece to cast their vote.
