The journalist Hara Kiose died – She was a close collaborator to Christos Lambrakis

The journalist and writer passed away at the age of 90

The journalist and author, Chara Kiose, who was a close collaborator and friend to Christos Lambrakis, has passed away at the age of 90.

Hara Kiose was born in Athens on 2 October 1934. She graduated from the American College for Girls-Pierce College and then took courses in Economics at Pittman’s School of Economics in London.

He studied at the London School of Economics in London, where he graduated from the University of London and studied in London’s Economics Department.
Her next step was to enter journalism in the late 50s, choosing to turn her interest mainly to archaeology and art.

Through her writings, articles, and reportage in “Vima” for about fifty years, Hara Kiose, who between 1967 and 1970 was the director of the women’s magazine “Moda“, highlighted the particular aspects of a field so important for Greece. Excavations, museums, the return of antiquities, the rescue of Christian churches in Turkey, and thematic exhibitions, are only part of her journalistic testimony.

The journalist was also an unsung supporter of Christos Lambrakis’ vision for the creation and operation of the Athens’ Great Music Hall.

The funeral of Hara Kiose will take place on Monday, October 21 from the Athens A Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. and the cremation will follow at the Ritsona Crematorium at 4:00 p.m.
