Ron Ely, the actor known to television audiences for his role as “Tarzan” in the series of the same name, has passed away.

The actor took his last breath at 86 years old in his California home. His death was announced by his daughter, Kirsten Casale Ely, in an Instagram post.

“He was an actor, writer, coach, family man, and leader. Wherever he went, he created a powerful wave of positive influence. I have never seen in anyone else the impact he had on the world – there was something truly magical about him,” she wrote.
