The Kremlin has dismissed claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a conversation with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, as reported by the Washington Post.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated, “There was no conversation,” and added, “This is completely false. It’s pure fantasy.”
Peskov also criticized the media reports, saying they are a “clear example of the current quality of information being published, sometimes even by fairly reputable outlets.”
According to Peskov, Putin has “no specific plans” to speak with Trump, and Moscow has not yet received any indication suggesting such a conversation might take place.
Additionally, Peskov clarified that Russia’s “special military operation,” as Moscow refers to the war in Ukraine, “will continue until all its objectives are achieved.”
The Kremlin spokesperson also accused European leaders of still pursuing a “strategic defeat” of Russia.
